Irish striker Faherty, 19, currently plays for Salthill Devon and was in the side which was crowned Eircom U21 League champions last month. |

The U's controversially went ahead after Clarke had been denied a goal but Lee (pen), Legwinski and Haynes put Town ahead before the U's pulled one back from the spot, Wright having been red-carded for handball. |

Reports in Ireland claim the Blues have finally made a bid to sign Cork City midfielder George O'Callaghan. Yesterday Damien Richardson, manager of the Eircom League side, revealed that his side had turned down a loan request from Town and were waiting for the Blues to make an offer to sign the 27-year-old on a permanent basis. |
